|How to get there||By Public Transport -
To get here, catch a ferry, bus or train to Circular Quay. From here, walk along George Street until you meet the corner of Argyle Street (Guylian Cafe is on the corner). Take Argyle Street and when you reach the Argyle Stairs (next to Sake Restaurant), take these to the top to reach Cumberland Street.
From here, walk north along Cumberland Street. BridgeClimb is located on the western side of the street before the road snakes underneath the Bridge. Visit Transport NSW website for public transport services.
By Car -
Park in Harrington Street, George Street or Argyle Street car parks. There is also limited metered car parking available in Cumberland Street.
|Check-in requirements||Ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled Climb time to allow enough time to check in.|
|What to bring/wear||Comfortable clothing.
Enclosed, rubber-soled shoes such as running, sport or hiking shoes.
You will be provided with suitable outdoor gear depending on the day's weather conditions.
|Other info||Children must be 8 years and over 1.2 metres tall. Children aged 8 to 15 must be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of three children per adult.
If you are less than 24 weeks pregnant, you can participate with a signed Certificate of Fitness Form from your GP. If you are over 24 weeks pregnant you cannot climb
You must have an alcohol-blood reading below .05 to climb. Everyone is breathalysed by Bridge Climb staff and anyone over the limit cannot continue.
Essential medication like inhalers can be taken on the Climb. Please speak to the staff on the day.
To participate you need to have a general level of health and fitness, and the ability to climb independently. On the day, you will be provided with a BridgeClimb Declaration Form for completion. There are some things that may prevent you from climbing safely, including:
- heart conditions
- respiratory conditions
- physical injuries
- limited limb function, or limb loss
- recent broken bones
- surgery in the past 6 months
- a fit or seizure in the past 6 months
Welcome to BridgeClimb - your Bridge adventure starts as soon as you step through our door. Start your journey here by exploring our Climb Base. Visit our friendly front desk team with your Reservation ID to check-in for your Climb (remember to arrive 15 minutes in advance of your departure time). Our team will also conduct a quick health & safety assessment to ensure you're ready to go (remember, "Don't drink and climb").
We equip you with all the outdoor gear you'll need for your Climb based on the day's weather conditions and our health & safety essentials. All you need to bring with you on the day is your sunglasses, enclosed comfortable shoes and a sense of adventure – we'll provide the rest!
With your Climb Leader as your guide, step by step you'll ascend the arches of the Bridge and enjoy the iconic views of Sydney, situated in one of the most beautiful harbours on earth. Throughout your Climb, your Climb Leader will entertain you with stories about the history of the Bridge. From its construction, to its opening in 1932, right through to its place in day to day local celebrations.
For safety reasons, you can't carry anything with you on the Bridge. We provide secure lockers for you to keep your things in, including phones and cameras, whilst you're on the Bridge. Our Climb Leaders will capture photos of you during your Climb. Every ticket to the top includes a Climb Group Photograph, a Certificate of Achievement, a BridgeClimb Cap and free entry to the Pylon Lookout. If you'd like to purchase additional photos, you can do so when you book your ticket or after your Climb.
